Frequently Asked QuestionsHow long will it be until my order is filled? We only offer sodas online that we currently have in stock and all orders are typically filled within 48-hours, excepting holidays. The Soda Gallery is a retail shop located in Dallas, Texas and is not some warehouse that is staffed 24/7. Our shop is only open part of the day on Sunday and is closed on Monday, so orders placed Saturday night often aren't filled and shipped until Tuesday morning. Do you carry sodas in cans or plastic bottles? Almost never. There are a few instances where we have carried an item that is in a plastic bottle, but they have been few and far between. We believe that a soda's flavor is best preserved in glass. Also many of the sodas we carry also have nostalgic value, and it wouldn’t be old-timey in plastic (we also always try to carry crimp-top bottle caps and not twist off). Shipping costs seem kind of high, why is that? Again with the glass. There are reasons bottlers switched to plastic, and one of them was reduced shipping costs. Glass is a heck of a lot heavier. But our motto is ‘only the best will do’. In addition, we include insurance in our shipping costs in the event that the shipper breaks any bottles (as can happen) and can quickly have them replaced for you. We are always on the lookout for new or long forgotten regional and specialty sodas. If you think we are missing something on the site contact us and let us know. We can’t guarantee we’ll add it, but we will try and find out if it is still available (remember we only prefer to stock sodas available in glass bottles). | |
